AARON HAWTHORNE returns to the New Victoria Wurlitzer with another classic 'silent' movie following his amazing accompaniment to the 1925 film 'The Phantom of the Opera' last year which brought the house down!  Aaron produced sounds from the Wurlitzer which amazed us all and thrilled the audience - don't miss this totally unique experience of seeing a century-old movie come to life!  

This years film, 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde', stars John Barrymore and was directed in 1920 by John S Robertson for Paramount Pictures based on Robert Louis Stevenson's dark story.

Aaron has become one of the World's top accompanists of silent movies and as someone who knows our Wurlitzer 'inside-out' this is an event not to miss!  2024 saw Aaron spending countless days working on his first CD recording at the New Victoria Centre* and, of course, he has played there in concert on many occasions since he first visited us as a student.

The NETOA Wurlitzer is one of the largest and most versatile instruments of its type in Europe and has been extensively restored with the aid of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.  Expect a wide variety of music - old and new, popular and classical.
